About

I'm most interested in quantum information science, quantum cryptography, and the foundations of quantum mechanics, particularly where they intersect thermodynamics, but I also occasionally work on projects related to cosmology, the history of science, and pure mathematics.  Presently I am fiddling around with some things related to an asymptotic version of Birkhoff's Theorem.  I'm collaborating on this project with a colleague at Bristol.  In addition I'm working with a student on a broad project that aims to find a concise mathematical link between entropy and symmetry.  I've been working on some things relating to open quantum systems and qubits on closed time-like curves as well and hopefully something will come out of that soon.
